​Our Gene Therapy client searching for a QC Scientist/Analytical Scientist to join their team on a contract (AD-HOC) basis.

Educational Background:

• A PhD in Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or a related field is preferred. However, an MSc with significant experience in the industry could also be considered.

Experience:

• Senior-Level Experience:

  The candidate should have at least 7-10 years of experience in a QC/analytical role, with a strong emphasis on assay development.

• Regulatory Environment:

  Experience working within a regulated environment (e.g., GMP, GLP) is essential, as the role involves developing assays that meet strict regulatory standards.

• Multi-Modality Expertise:

  Familiarity with various therapeutic modalities, especially those relevant to Metagenomi’s focus, is key. Experience in gene editing, gene therapy, or similar fields would be highly advantageous.

Technical Skills:

• Analytical Techniques:

  Proficiency in a range of analytical techniques (e.g., HPLC, mass spectrometry, ELISA) is required. The candidate should have hands-on experience in developing and troubleshooting these techniques.

• Data Analysis:

  Strong skills in statistical analysis and the interpretation of complex data sets are important. The candidate should be able to critically assess assay performance and make data-driven decisions.
