Job description
Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Cybersecurity Auditor to join a leading certification body in Belgium. The successful candidate will play a critical role in assessing and ensuring the security of systems, networks, and products within a regulatory framework as well as managing a team of two which is likely to grow this year. The Senior Cybersecurity Auditor will be responsible for conducting thorough audits, providing expert guidance, and ensuring compliance with relevant cybersecurity standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct Audits:
Perform comprehensive cybersecurity audits on client systems, networks, and products.
Evaluate the effectiveness of security controls and identify vulnerabilities.
Assess compliance with international and local cybersecurity standards, such as ISO/IEC 27001, NIS Directive, and GDPR.
Reporting and Documentation:
Prepare detailed audit reports, outlining findings, risks, and recommendations.
Ensure all documentation meets the required standards and is ready for regulatory review.
Risk Management:
Identify and assess potential security risks to clients' information systems.
Provide expert advice on risk mitigation and management strategies.
Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure clients adhere to applicable cybersecurity regulations and industry standards.
Keep up-to-date with changes in cybersecurity laws, regulations, and best practices.
Client Engagement:
Communicate audit results and recommendations to clients in a clear and professional manner.
Provide guidance and support to clients for implementing security improvements.
Continuous Improvement:
Stay informed about the latest cybersecurity threats, technologies, and methodologies.
Contribute to the development and enhancement of audit processes and tools.
Team Leadership and Mentorship:
Mentor junior auditors and provide guidance to team members.
Lead audit teams on large and complex engagements.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Experience:
Minimum of 7 years of experience in cybersecurity, with at least 3 years in an auditing or compliance role.
Proven track record of conducting successful cybersecurity audits and assessments.
Certifications:
Relevant certifications such as CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor), CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional), or ISO/IEC 27001 Lead Auditor are highly desirable.
Skills:
In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity principles, practices, and frameworks.
Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and standards.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Proficiency in using audit tools and technologies.

Language Requirements:
